Welcome to the Downtown Rotary Club of New Braunfels website!Rotary International is the world's first service club organization with more than 1.2 million members in 35,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto "Service Above Self". The Downtown Rotary Club of New Braunfels, Texas was founded in 1982 by active community leaders with a mission to provide support and service to the citizens of New Braunfels and Comal County. Since its inception, the Downtown Rotary Club has provided over $6,000,000 in support to the community through various donations, grants, and scholarships. The Downtown Rotary Club meets at noon for lunch every Thursday at the McKenna Events Center, Krueger Room, located at 801 W. San Antonio St, New Braunfels, Texas. |
100% Paul Harris Fellow Plus 1 Club
The Downtown Rotary Club of New Braunfels is a 100% Paul Harris Fellow Plus 1 club. Every member of the club has shown their commitment to the efforts of Rotary International by becoming a Paul Harris Fellow Plus 1. Very few clubs within Rotary International have 100% of their members make this financial commitment. Paul Harris was the founder of Rotary International. Individual Rotarians who donate $1,000 or more to the Annual Programs Fund, PolioPlus, or the Humanitarian Grants Program become members of the Rotary Foundation and are recognized as Paul Harris Fellows. Those that contribute $2,000 are recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow Plus 1. |
